A Bay Area man was awakened in his own home by a man who broke in and wanted to know if he wanted to buy drugs.
East Bay Times reports that an unidentified man was awakened at 4:30 a.m. by a home intruder who claimed he was trying to find a different address before offering the cocaine for sale.
The resident told police that the stranger claimed to be trying to find a different address, and then offered to sell him cocaine. When he pulled a bag of white powder out of his pocket, the resident told him to leave, according to police.
About 45 minutes later, officers found a suspect near Bancroft Way and Telegraph Avenue.
When they began to search him, the man attempted to flee. Police tackled and restrained him, and they allegedly found the man was carrying more than a half-ounce of cocaine.
Police arrested Jahcoby Dillon Adams-Mabin on suspicion of burglary, threatening violence on a peace officer, felony battery on emergency personnel and possession of a controlled substance. The homeowner didn’t suffer any injuries but one of the arresting officers suffered a cut to the forehead.
Cocaine is a helluva drug.
