The prestigious Under Armour brand is set to release their HOVR Havoc sneaker on August 31, with the low-cut sneaker priced at $105 and the mid-cut sneaker priced at $115. The company debuted the new lightweight HOVR performance technology earlier this year within their Phantom running shoe. The technology has now transferred to the hardwood to enhance the skills and required specifics of basketball. Under Armour reveals the shoe modeled by up and coming star Josh Jackson wearing the sneaker.
According to Mike Destefano of Solecollector.com, each iteration of the lightweight shoe is composed of a two-layer knit upper with synthetic overlays on the toe box and side panels. A plastic heel counter provides additional lockdown and also displays the Under Armour logo on its lateral side. Other details include a TPU shank in the midfoot and carved out arch on the medial side for further support.
Steph Curry’s line is Under Armour’s most popular basketball shoe and this sneaker will be unveiled outside of that line. Under Armour promises a different and more comfortable feel to the basketball industry.
