Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils are in Canada for five exhibition games over the next week. Their first exhibition game of the season was played last night and this loaded team did not disappoint against Ryerson University.
Williamson was tired of the narrative he heard over the summer; “All he can do is dunk.” So last night Williamson dunked the ball 3 times and knocked down 3 out of 4 3 pointers he attempted. Finishing the game with 28 points and 13 rebounds with acrobatic lay ups, hustle plays, and freakish athletic ability.
The consensus number one player in the world, Canadian R.J. Barret scored 34 points and helped Zion drive Ryerson University in the ground in the second half.
Williamson put on a dunk fest before the game and also put up a nasty put back dunk. The general consensus is that there is a lot more where this came from. Duke is must watch basketball with all this talent and arguably their second best player was not able to play last night. Cam Reddish had a minor groin injury that will keep him out of exhibition games in Canada.
