Black people in America can’t live in peace due to the society that we live in these days and one latest incident is out of Milwaukee. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, cops placed a black teen named Akil Carter in handcuffs because two people (a man with his girlfriend) who had trouble minding their business assumed that he was robbing the white woman who was with in a blue Lexus. It turned out to be his grandma. A black man had initially made the call.
The two had just left church along with another older woman who was her friend. Wauwatosa Police Department received the call about the alleged robbery. Guns were also drawn by police before Carter was placed in the police car, according to Wauwatosa Police Capt. Brian Zalewski in a statement. Carter was soon questioned.
While Carter was in the car, a female police officer said that it all sounded like a misunderstanding. Carter then told the cop that his grandma’s friend was driving the car and that his grandma was in the passenger’s seat. He was detained for six minutes.
“I’m sure he saw two white ladies in a car with a black kid and he made some assumptions,” said Carter’s grandma.
Carter’s grandma was also surprised that a black man made the call to police. Flip the page for Carter in the backseat being questioned by police about the incident.
