A bar fight between two TV newscasters ended with one arrest and the other going to the hospital for treatment.
FTVLive.com reports that anchorwoman Erica Bivens and Weather Anchor Chelsea Ambriz from WSAZ in Charleston got into a heated scrap after Ambriz allegedly began flirting with Biven’s husband who was also at the bar. That’s when Ambriz reportedly jumped at Bivens with both women landing on the floor in full melee.
The two, who work on the same 4 PM broadcast, were in attendance at an event to help end domestic violence against women called “Girls Night Out”!
Witnesses say it started as an argument, turned into a shoving match and then fists were flying. Word is that Bivens took quite a shot and had to be helped out of the bar.
The station has yet to comment or take action against Bivens and Ambriz but authorities are suggesting Bivens obtain a personal protective order against Ambriz.
