Details on Browns Preparing to Make Coaching Changes to Fix Dysfunction

The dysfunction between Browns head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley has been brewing since their on-camera argument during HBO’s Hard Knocks reality show.  It appears now that the situation has reached a boiling point and Browns management is ready to make changes.

NFL Networks Ian Rappaport reported the following:

For several weeks, it’s been clear that coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley have not been on the same page. Several people in the organization have battled to help them work together, but it has not improved.

The spotlight is usually on the head coach, especially one with a current Browns record of 3-35-1. And clearly, if the wins don’t come, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, general manager John Dorsey and the brain trust have a decision to make on Jackson. But another option is to remove Haley. That would also be under consideration.

So either Hue Jackson or Todd Haley may be gone as soon as the beginning of next week, as the Browns look to turn the page as they move forward with Baker Mayfield, Myles Garrett, and a talented group of young players.
