This is a good example of us once in a while seeing the real life situations of NBA players.
Enes Kanter revealed late last night after a win against the Los Angeles Lakers, that he wouldn’t be traveling with the team to London in fear of being killed by the Turkish government.
“Sadly I’m not going because of that freaking lunatic, the Turkish president,”
“There’s a chance that I can get killed out there. So that’s why I talked to the [Knicks] front office. I’m not going.” via ESPN
It’s really sad how an NBA player can’t even do his job, even travel in fear of being killed because of political differences. Sad stuff there.
