Tekashi 6ix9ine is still locked up on racketeering, murder conspiracy, weapons, and assault charges. He was taken into the feds in late November and his trial date is set for September 4, 2019. His lawyer Lance Lazarro is currently putting together a bail package that would offer $1.5 million along with the claim that 6ix9ine is in no way a danger to the community.
Many legal woes have haunted 6ix9ine since getting locked up. One of them now is getting sued by promoters from a Howard University homecoming show for skipping out on his performance, according to TMZ. 6ix9ine pocked the $60,000 upfront money and then never showed up.
Court documents stated that on the day of 6ix9ine’s show, the concert promoters tried to get in contact with his team but they cooperated very little about the scheduled performance. Fans waited hours to get into the venue and when promoters had to let them know the show would be canceled, they thought a riot would go down.
Promoters for the 6ix9ine show say that $165,336 in pre-sale tickets were sold and they collected $30,000 in VIP tickets. Attorneys Jelani D. James and Donald M. Temple are seeking up to $300,000 in damages for the promoters for 6ix9ine flaking on the show. It’ll be interesting to see if 6ix9ine will be able to pay this amount from jail. An Instagram model that claims that she had his child could be seeking child support as well. An arrest warrant has also been issued for 6ix9ine hitting a Houston teenager in January for trying to take a photo of him.
