One of the most polarizing rookies in recent memory, Lamar Jackson, was inserted into the starting lineup Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The former Heisman trophy winner didn’t look back.
During the Ravens last seven regular season games, the team went (6-1) and earned a wildcard berth. However, the matchup with the Chargers didn’t go as planned.
After getting dominated for three quarters, Baltimore fought back in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough.
In a sit down with Ray Lewis that happened before the playoffs, Jackson left us with a gem.
“I already said it when I got drafted: I wanted to bring a Super Bowl to Baltimore,” Jackson said. “So, I’m going to try to bring as much as I can. … I want to bring the Super Bowl here. I want to be the [Tom] Brady [of Baltimore]. I want to be the Brady, bring multiple, if I could.”
Some will read this quote and instantly think how differently the two play the quarterback position. Having said that, Jackson doesn’t mean his game is going to resemble Brady’s, but he surely hopes his fingers do.
