Lil’ Mo tried to go viral for all the wrong reasons.
The singer and her husband appeared on The Breakfast Club to discuss a variety of topics including cheating, her issue with fellow R&B singer Queen Naija and the divisive conversations surrounding R. Kelly, via Madame Noire.
She confessed that although she never watched the documentary, and never personally met R. Kelly, she felt that it was necessary to point out others in the industry who have committed similar acts, but wouldn’t name any names. She went as far as to discuss how she used to shield sexual assaulters from getting caught, per Bossip.
Lil Mo defending R. Kelly should come as no surprise. The R&B singer has previously made comments defending Bill Cosby and was under fire last year after she took up for rapper and long time collaborator Fabolous when allegations that he abused his girlfriend Emily B surfaced.
In the case of R. Kelly, you can’t defend anybody like that.
