A Philadelphia cop is under investigation after he was caught on video dragging a handcuffed, black woman to the ground by her hair.
In a video obtained by NBC Philadelphia, 18-year-old Na-sha Lockett is seen being pressed against a police vehicle by an unidentified police officer. Locket repeatedly yells for the cop to get off her to which he ignores. When she says, “I’m going to spit on you,” the cop drags her by her hair, kicks her, takes her to the ground and puts his knee in her back. While pinned to the ground, Lockett continues to plead for the officer to get off her back saying she has asthma.
Lockett described the arrest in an interview with NBC10.
“I was trying to get up, I was trying to use my knees to get up. Then he got on top of me and I started saying I have asthma and started crying,” Lockett said.
The incident began when Police responded to a call that the van Lockett, and friend Khalil Harvey, was reported stolen. Harvin, who spoke to NBC 10, provided paperwork to the network showing proof of ownership.
