Tonight was the first time Terence Crawford was tested in the boxing ring and he’s proven to be a top pound for pound boxer in front of 14,091 fans. However, after 6 rounds with Amir Khan, the fight ended on a controversial TKO call.
Khan was already in trouble after Crawford knocked him down in the first round with 34 seconds left. You then saw Khan become frustrated and sloppy but was saved by the bell to go on to another round.
In the 4th round, Khan got his revenge knocking Crawford off balance shocking the audience who didn’t think he could redeem himself after the first round knock down. The two exchanged jabs throughout the middle rounds and then in the beginning of the 6th round, Crawford punched Khan under the belt. Official went to Khan to make sure he was ok but after about two minutes talking to Khan and his trainer, the official called the fight.
Fans became hysterical and booed the official, Crawford for defending his title off of a “below the belt” TKO and Khan looking like he quit.
“My legs kind of seized. I don’t give up in a fight,” Khan said on the fight being called.
