Keenan wasted no time getting those Cardi references in the story.
Cardi’s concert at the El Paso County Coliseum Tuesday was postponed “due to circumstances beyond her control.” The date for the rescheduled concert is being worked on and will be announced when it has been confirmed, according to El Paso County Coliseum officials. They said additional information will be available later Tuesday, according to KFOX14.
Fans commented on KFOX’s Facebook post to show their frustration. Some fans traveled to El Paso from cities all around for Cardi’s concert. Some took multiple days off for the now canceled show.
“Yeah, I took the whole weekend off work, like all weekend, plus Monday and Tuesday,” ticket holder Josef Bushaw said.
This is not the first time Cardi has cancelled a show in El Paso. She was supposed to be at Neon Desert Music Festival in 2018, but cancelled after the announcement of her pregnancy to baby Kulture.
Seizing an opportunity, reporter Keenan Willard went ahead and dropped some Cardi references during his report, using Cardi’s signature “okurrr” to describe how some fans might be feeling.
Twitter reacted exactly how you think they would. I think Keenan was pretty spot-on with Cardi’s trademark.
