The NBA Draft is less than a month away.
Zion Williamson and Ja Morant are the projected top two picks in this year’s draft.
The New Orleans Pelicans hold the number one pick, followed by the Grizzlies, and of course the New York Knicks.
While we likely know where each of these stars are playing next season, the shoes they will wear is becoming of equal importance.
One of those stars, Ja Morant, has now found his shoe company.
Morant has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Morant announced the deal on Instagram Monday.
He joins the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and others who are currently with Nike.
While the terms of the deal are not yet known, Morant’s deal is likely sizeable and will have ramifications for Zion Williamson.
Williamson has not signed a shoe deal as of yet and talk of where he will sign has remained a point of intrigue.
The Duke star famously blew out a pair of Nike’s during a home game against North Carolina earlier this year. Since the famous shoe blowout, Nike has done all they can to ensure they are the right shoe brand for Williamson’s NBA career.
Williamson will have plenty of suitors to choose from for his sneaker needs before the draft arrives in June.
For now though we wait where Williamson will sign, but Morant’s signing with Nike will surely pique Williamson’s interests.
