Kevin Durant will make his 2019 Finals debut Monday night in Game 5. His return comes just over a month after straining his right calf.
Stating the obvious, tonight is a must win for the Dubs. We’ve heard the chatter of things coming full circle with Golden State now having the opportunity to come back from a 3-1 deficit. Such a feat has been accomplished only once in the Finals thanks to the 2016 Cavs. It will be a full go for KD in Game 5.
“He’s going to play tonight and it’ll be great to have him back,” Coach Steve Kerr told me of Kevin Durant minutes ago. There will be no minutes restriction, but his playing time will depend on how he feels. #NBAFinals

While he won’t be on a minutes restriction, Kerr will be evaluating how Durant holds up physically as the game goes along. Also expect to see KD used in shorter spurts to avoid re-injury.
