Marcus Morris recently fires his agent Rich Paul. It was said that the breakup was mutual. Before Morris eventually agreed to a one year $15 million deal with the Knicks, he turned down a 2 year $20 million deal from the Spurs.
Now according to The New York Daily News’ Stephan Bondy, Morris turned down a bigger deal from another team.
Morris was offered a $41 million contract from the Clippers. The amount of years is not known but either way it wasn’t a smart move to reject that amount of money. At the very least the optics of the whole thing seem off given Paul’s biggest client is Lebron who plays for the rival Lakers.
