How Many Tickets Gervonta Davis Gave to Foster Care Children For His Fight In Baltimore Against Ricardo Nunez Tonight (Video)

Undefeated 24-year-old Gervonta “Tank” Davis (21-0) is set to take on Ricardo Nunez tonight on Showtime in his hometown of Baltimore to defend his WBA Super Featherweight championship. Leading up to the fight, Tank gave back to his community in a major way.

Sources close to Davis’ camp tell BSO that last week, he gave away over 100 tickets to foster children that are in the WIN Family Services program in Baltimore. Tank. Davis grew up in the foster care system and hopes that he can be an inspiration to children in the same situation. Davis wants the children to come to the fight and see that someone who was once in their shoes can believe that there’s a way out snd become successful in life regardless of their circumstances. A few days ago, Davis also received the key to the city of Baltimore from Mayor Bernard “Jack” Young.

Maybach Construction is helping sponsor this ticket giveaway as well. The fight will take place at the Royal Farms Arena. Showtime’s televised broadcast starts at 9PM ET.

Salute to Tank for making a huge difference in others’ lives who may not be as fortunate as the rest of us. These children should be in for an exciting fight from him. In Tank’s previous matchup, he knocked out Hugo Ruiz in the first round back in February to successfully defend his title.
