Terrence Howard is getting ready for Empire’s sixth and final season on September 24 but is dealing with some legal issues regarding his ex-wife. According to TMZ, a judge in Los Angeles Superior Court ordered that Howard must pay Michelle Ghent $1.3 million in spousal support. This will come from his TV checks.
$263,000 of that amount is back spousal support and $1.05 million is due to Howard’s large income. When Empire first aired four years ago, he was racking in $120,000 per episode. Now, he’s over $250k. This legal battle between the two have supposedly been ongoing since 2013.
Things could get worse for Howard though as he may be covering Ghent’s large attorney fees. A hearing will take place see how much the amount will be. It’s reported that the total is expected to be over $1 million.
