Rick Ross dropped his 10th studio album “Port Of Miami 2” today which is also the sequel to his 2006 debut album. It contains 15 tracks with heavy-hitting features from Drake, Lil Wayne, Nipsey Hussle, Meek Mill, Jeezy, and more.
On Ross’ “Maybach Music VI” record, it was originally supposed to have Pusha T and Lil Wayne featured on it but instead, it was John Legend and Wayne. The absence of Pusha surprised everyone as fans felt that the initial of Pusha and Wayne on the track together signaled no animosity being shown after 2018’s Drake-Pusha beef.
Ross was interviewed by Hot 97 today and was asked about why Pusha and Wayne didn’t end up both being on Maybach Music VI. Ross said that both of their verses got cleared but just didn’t feel that the love was genuine at this point. The Miami legend added that he wants to see Drake, Kanye, Wayne, and Pusha all hop on a track with him eventually. Having Pusha and Wayne on Port Of Miami 2 would’ve been epic for sure. It’s sad that we didn’t get to hear it.
