Ghost is out here on a journey of trying to escape his past and be the man that he wants to be? Or the man Angela thought he could be. Either way, he is a man conflicted looking to find balance and a sense of peace. Of course he is incapable of finding that peace because he’s still tethered to his past. Too many of the people in his orbit are about that life. The only people he has, or had a love for are still connected to the game, including his son.
His stutter step in resigning from the Tate campaign was cute. But just a way for ol’ girl Ramona to work to “convince” him to stay on. Is there any doubt those two are gonna smash? Don’t be fooled by him leaving dinner early to handle Maria Suarez. That’s the same old Ghost. There was a loose end that needed to be tied up.
That’s often what the final season of a series can feel like. One big loose end, supported by other smaller loose ends. The countless mini storylines and side plots need to come together so the big plot can wrap. We should all expect more deaths. To quote a character from a very famous tv series that ended this season, “If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.”
But I digress…back to more of the loose ends.
