Former NFL defensive lineman Darius Philon signed a 2-year, $10 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals. He was involved in an incident outside of the VLive strip club in Phoenix, AZ where he supposedly threatened to shoot a stripper. This resulted in Philon being cut by the Cardinals on August 10. The initial arrest occurred on August 9. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
TMZ Sports obtained footage of outside the club where the woman met Philon. It was difficult to see if he did flash his gun but according to the police report, the stripper said that she and her friend met Philon at his car outside the club so he could pay her. When the two got to the car, he supposedly asked “Which one of you wants a bullet?”
She pleaded with Philon to put the gun down but supposedly raised it at her friend after. He has yet to receive formal charges for the incident. Philon has yet to be picked up by another NFL team.
