Kiara Mia never needed a $140 trailer-park arrangement. Jimmy Garoppolo took her to dinner in Beverly Hills, treated her like a date, and she still talks about it like it was fun.
Jed York’s August 2026 Ohio sting makes the contrast almost too clean.
In late August 2026, 49ers owner Jed York was arrested at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community in East Palestine, Ohio. Police said he answered an undercover ad, used the alias “Joe,” negotiated “full service” for about $140–$160, and showed up with the cash and the phone used to set it up. He pleaded no contest to reduced charges (disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools), paid fines, and the case was resolved in roughly a day. The mugshot in the orange jumpsuit circulated immediately.
Eight years earlier, the same franchise’s then-franchise quarterback did the opposite thing in public.
In July 2018, shortly after Jimmy Garoppolo signed his $137.5 million deal, TMZ filmed him at Avra in Beverly Hills with Kiara Mia (real name Deanne Munoz). They toasted, ate, walked out arm-in-arm, and left in a car together. She was 41; he was 26. The photos and video were not hidden. He did not use a fake name. He did not meet her at a trailer park.
Kiara’s comments afterward were consistent and never included a price:
- “Jimmy and I had an amazing dinner, and he treated me with so much respect and class. Honestly, we’re friends.”
- “He’s sexy as f***.”
- She called the “dessert” fantastic and said everything she touches turns to gold — then predicted the 49ers would make the Super Bowl. They did the following season.
She never said he paid her. She never described it as work. She described it as a date with a guy who radiated on a different level. That is the confirmation the recent Reddit thread and the York news are circling back to.
Athletes and owners have been linked to se*x workers and adult performers for decades. Most of it stays private. Garoppolo’s version was unusual because it was not private. Some commentators at the time (Britt McHenry, later Stephen A. Smith’s “P*rn Star Jimmy” nickname) treated the public date itself as the scandal. Others, including Mark Cuban at the time, said the openness was the least problematic part.
York’s situation is the opposite problem: a wealthy team owner in a sting that looks cheap, sloppy, and desperate. The dollar amount is part of the mockery. $140 is not “high-end companion.” It is the price that makes the mugshot funnier.
Kiara’s own later career move into paid companionship only sharpens the contrast. She has a rate card now. In 2018 she did not apply it to the quarterback who took her to a nice dinner and left her talking about respect and class.
