Jimmy Garropolo of the San Francisco 49ers sent the internet in a frenzy after his on-field interview with Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews.
Following his team’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals which put the 49ers in a tie with the New England Patriots for the NFL’s best record Jimmy Garropolo took his airtime with Erin Andrews to throw a hail mary. When asked by Erin Andrews how it felt to be 8-0 the 49ers quarterback replied simply, “feels good baby.” If the flirtatious one-liner from Jimmy Garoppolo wasn’t enough, his intentions were made clear when looked over his shoulder as he floated towards the locker room with a sneaky grin across his face.
Erin Andrews responded in real-time exactly how you would expect a professional would when placed in an awkward situation on live television. After the internet got involved we were all eager to see Erin Andrews second reaction to being called baby by Jimmy Garropolo, while she didn’t flat out give a direct reply, she doesn’t seem to be bothered by it.
Ironically media acted way differently to this than when LaVar Ball innocently talked about changing gears with Molly Qerim, but that was because how Molly reacted and LaVar being black.
If Jimmy Garroppolo hopes to have a real shot with Erin Andrews he’ll need to get through her husband Jarret Stoll, a former hockey player in the NHL.
