Lil Uzi Vert has been signed fo DJ Drama and Don Cannon’s Generation Now record label for over two years. Al of 2019, we’ve even Uzi have trouble being able to release music due to Drama and Cannon supposedly not letting him. This is after fans anticipated him releasing his “Eternal Atake” album. He hasn’t released a full-length project since 2017 and his last single was “New Patek” from the summer of 2018.
Due to this problem, Uzi said he retired from music earlier this year but still wanted to release the album. Drama and Cannon clarifies that Uzi can release his music but according to Uzi, this is still not the case.
Uzi recently took to Twitter to say that Drama is broke and needs sales from Uzi’s music to pay bills. He added that Cannon is a snake. He added that his best friend has more money than Drama too. Drama and Cannon definitely seem to be lying about Uzi being able to release music. Back in March, Nav released his “Bad Habits” album but had to take Uzi’s verse off it it due to Drama and Cannon refusing to clear it.
