Colin Kaepernick will work out at the Falcons’ training facility in Flowery Branch, GA on Saturday and so far, 11 teams are confirmed. One NFL player who isn’t feeling how this was all set up was Kaepernick’s former San Francisco 49ers teammate, Eric Reid.
Reid said what many of us are thinking such as this move by the NFL being a PR stunt and how the workout being on a Saturday is a bad move. This is a valid opinion considering the fact that many reps from NFL teams are usually traveling to their respective games that day or looking at scouted college players. Someone who isn’t feeling Reid’s latest criticism of the NFL though is Stephen A. Smith.
Smith took to First Take to say that Reid should retire from the NFL immediately and go work at First Take or other shows at ESPN since Reid has a problem with everything. He called Reid a professional complainer and mentioned his beef with Eagles CB Malcolm Jenkins, not liking Jay Z partnering with the NFL, and now this workout. He went on to applaud Reid for kneeling with Kaepernick to address issues in America like racism and police brutality but isn’t feeling Reid “complaining.”
In 2016, Reid was kneeling alongside Kaepernick and it was amazing to see.
