Gervonta Davis won’t be looking for a plea deal in the case against him for allegedly abusing the mother of his child during Super Bowl weekend in Miami, his lawyer has entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Davis.
After turning himself into the Coral Gables Police Department, Gervonta Davis was hit with misdemeanor simple battery on his baby mama, a portion of the incident took place on video which went viral on social media not long after its release.
The video shows a clearly angry Gervonta Davis entering the venue where a charity basketball event was taking place and leaving with a woman in tow believed to be the mother of his child.
Following Gervonta Davis’ arrest and release on bond, police officials released a statement claiming both social media, as well as the woman involved in the incident, provided the information used in their ongoing investigation.
For now, stipulations on Gervonta Davis bond arrangements restrict him from contact with his ex-girlfriend and mother to his kid, he is to have absolutely no contact with her and would be subject to bond forfeiture should he violate the terms of his bond release.
