The Las Vegas Raiders have placed an original round tender on free agent quarterback Nathan Peterman. Peterman was originally drafted in the 5th round by the Buffalo Bills in 2017, thus meaning if any other team were to sign Peterman, it would cost them a 5th round draft pick.
It’s difficult to understand why another team would be jockeying for Peterman’s services as his career has been more reflective of his original round designation. Peterman has thrown for 12 interceptions to only 3 touchdowns. Bringing his career passer rating to, if qualified, would be the worst in league history at 32.5.
Peterman will be looking to compete for the backup role with former Cleveland Browns 1st round pick Deshon Kizer. Peterman was actually 4th on the Raiders depth chart last season as the team also brought in Mike Glennon who ultimately was the teams backup last season.
