Eric Reid took to twitter today to outline a supposed agenda behind encouraging players to vote for the proposed collective bargaining agreement set to expire at the end of next season. Part of his post was aimed directly at ESPN personality Stephen A Smith, and he didn’t hold back any punches.
Reid and Smith have had a history of exchanging words via the media and this is sure to provoke a response by Smith. Reid also highlighted that intricacies about the negotiations would be leaked out purposely in order to further discourage dissent.
The players are set to vote on approval of the newly proposed CBA on Monday after the NFLPA voted to extend the original deadline 48 hours.
