Michale Jordan’s “The Last Dance” documentary has captivated the sporting world and given the public a glimpse behind the curtain of the 97-98 Bulls team. One of those glimpses saw Jordan going hard at a teammate, Scott Burrell, on the team plane.
Jordan was cracking jokes and giving Burrell a hard time for his hard-partying ways on the road. Jordan referred to Burrell as Dennis Rodman Junior, told Burrell’s parents that their son was an alcoholic and said if he had a girl, he was lying to her about being committed. All of this while Burrell pleaded to the camera to not include this in the documentary.
He never gets his sleep. Single man and he thinks he can hang out all night … If he committed to one girl, it’s a lie. He’s out every night.”
That was 22 years ago, and Burrell is a different man now, but people were still interested in how his wife, SNY Tv reporter Jeane Coakley would respond, as it turns out she took it all in stride.
