Giddy up ladies because Vh1’s Kamal “Chance” Givens is returning to offer women a shot at love in the saddle. The new TV show entitled “One Mo’ Chance” will give fans insight into Chance personal past experiences from his own words.
Chance was the runner up on the 2007 TV series “I Love New York” where he didn’t find love with Tiffany Pollard better known as “New York.” What love couldn’t do for Chance, he decided to chase the bag when he took his talents to “I love Money” which aired in 2008. When Chance didn’t leave the mansion with the riches, he decided to tag along with his brother Ahmad “Real” Givens for two seasons of their reality love show “Real Chance of Love.” Chance decided in season one he wasn’t ready for love and a relationship eliminating both Risky and Cali in the season finale. Season two brought about maturity as he chose Hot Wings over Mamacita, yet those plans didn’t work out.
The cat fight competition in this new TV show will be one for the ages despite Chance standing alone to find the woman of his dreams. In 2015, Chance brother Ahmad “Real” Givens died of colon cancer as the tragedy left fans and close friends devastated.
The new show will premiere in the fall on the video-on-demand network, Zeus. Executive producers Ray J and Princess Love will be overseeing this series given Ray J had his share of looking for love in “For the Love of Ray J.” There was speculation for years if Chance would return to TV given his great relationships with legendary yet underrated executive producers in Chris Abregro, Ben Samek and Mark Cronin. Those are the guys people should applaud for making VH1 in its prime the best drama network involving dating and competition formats.
Let’s be clear, if this was made between 2009 and 2010, the hype would be out of the roof. If Chance was pitched an idea to have his own show for ratings against Real, the concept in that time would be farfetched. However, it would be unlikely since both brothers cared for one another and a season three could’ve been brought back. TV shows like Real Chance of Love, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, For the Love of Ray J and many others were ahead of its time in the mid-late 2000s’. Hopefully Chance finds true love because it’ll be all familiar with female personalities and many surprises. Real might not be here in the flesh, but Chance will make sure he represents him as the stallionaires spirit leads him to true love.
