There is a couple of problems here.
WOP is the acronym Ms. Barone is referring to which is “Without Papers”. That isn’t a diss to just Italians but could be a diss to any immigrants. Cardi B and Megan’s song even before it was released was called “WAP” so I am not sure what Ms. Barone was referring to in the first place.
The fact she brazenly tries to compare it to N*gger is very problematic.
Instead of just saying she made a mistake, she has been doubling down on and social media has been lighting her up.
It is ok to just say you are wrong and keep it moving.
