Floyd Mayweather finally understands what black folks are going through since the death of George Floyd.
During an episode on Club Shay Shay hosted by Shannon Sharpe, Mayweather spoke about the consequences law enforcement should face for unjustly murdering black folks.
“We need to have different policies come in as far as these police officers. If there is something that is not done right, you guys get the death penalty or you guys get life without parole. If that happens, then guess what? Then, we going to get some different results. Then, this will stop.”
Mayweather makes a point many blacks in America feel given the history of what black men and women for decades dealt with.
In 2016, Mayweather was once on the all lives matter fence during an interview per Tha Boxing Voice.
“What I learned…from boxing what everyone could take in real life is…follow directions…follow order and don’t give nobody no hard time,” the undefeated retired boxer said.
In 2020, cops are giving black folks a hard time even when they comply. It’s all love and Mayweather is still a black man who now sees the light he couldn’t see four years ago. Hopefully, Lil Wayne takes heed because everyone won’t forget his interview with ABC News on how he doesn’t feel connected to Black Lives Matter.
