Matt Patricia isn’t a good coach and the excuse he made for being a bad coach just proves how bad he is.
Jim Caldwell went 36-28 with two playoff appearances in his four years with the Lions. That is a very solid coaching record considering how horrible the Lions have been since their existence.
They fired Caldwell and brought in Patricia who is now 10-25-1 in his 2+ years with Lions.
If anything he has destroyed what Caldwell had built to make the Lions competitive.
It was disrespectful for Patricia to say this, but not surprising. He should be fired.
