It has been widely reported that James Harden wants out of Houston. He’s been there for a while and it seems like he’s taken the franchise as far as he can.
He reportedly wants his next destination to be in Brooklyn with his old teammate Kevin Durant but the Rockets want a lot in return for him so they couldn’t work out a trade. They have already traded Russell Westbrook for John Wall and have made some key free agent signings with Demarcus Cousins and Christian Wood so the team is actually pretty decent.
Despite that, Harden still wants out.
Rockets training camp/first team practice was Sunday and Harden was a no show. New head coach Stephen Silas said that he had hoped that Harden would show up to the first day of training camp but he didn’t show. He also said that as far as he knows, Harden is following the NBA Covid protocols.
Silas, however, must not have seen the videos of Harden in the club the past few days because it look like he’s not following protocols at all.
He was partying with rapper Lil Baby one night for his birthday where he gave him a lot of expensive gifts and then was video’d partying at a strip club.
The word is he missed the first practice due to Covid protocols according to ESPN but that seems unlikely because the NBA has said that guys can’t go clubbing. We’ll see how this plays out especially after it has been reported he didn’t show up like he was supposed to.
