It’s pretty obvious that “Sunshine” aka Trevor Lawrence will be the first pick in this year’s NFL draft. Every major network analyst, blogger, scout, writer and fan believes he is a once in a lifetime talent who has the ability to take the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars to new heights.
But there’s one analyst who disagrees, NBC Sport’s Chris Simms. Simms believes BYU’s Zach Wilson is the best quarterback talent in this year’s draft. Now before you go on and call him a heretic for his belief Simms has a pretty good track record of scouting QB talent.
He also says Kellen Mond is better than Justin Fields.
In 2017 Simms said that Pat Mahomes was the best QB in the draft, 2018 Lamar Jackson, 2019 Kyler Murray and 2020 Joe Burrow.
