Charlotte Hornets owner and six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan didn’t expect to see rookie LaMelo Ball elevate his game.
Jordan like many of us was surprised to see Ball average 15.8 points on 44.9 percent shooting this season.
“I think Melo has adjusted to the NBA game better than any of us ever thought this early in his career,” Jordan told The Associated Press, via email.
Drafting Ball as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft wasn’t a mistake and Jordan has a franchise player who will only get better in the future.
