The PGA recently announced they have created a Player Impact Program with a $40 million pool for players who move the needle on tour despite their play on the course.
The top 10 finishers on tour will get part of the pool and the ranking will be determined by;
“Their position on the season-ending FedEx Cup points list.
“Their popularity in Google Search.
“Their Nielsen Brand Exposure rating, which places a value on the exposure a player delivers to sponsors through the minutes they are featured on broadcasts.
“Their Q Rating, which measures the familiarity and appeal of a player’s brand.
“Their MVP Index rating, which calibrates the value of the engagement a player drives across social and digital channels.
“Their Meltwater Mentions, or the frequency with which a player generates coverage across a range of media platforms.”
Despite not being on tour, IG model golfer Paige Spiranac feels like she might deserve a piece of the pool and she kind of has a point. She tweeted out that it would be nice if she got some money anytime anyone googled if her boobs are real and also said that she has the highest engagement rate in golf and the most followers on IG.
She won’t get any but she definitely has a point.
