This offseason, the biggest off-the-court story has been the rumored between Hornets star LaMelo Ball and Instagram model Ana Montana. As we reported yesterday, these rumors have seemed to be confirmed as the two were spotted cozying up with one another.
People on social media seemingly had a one-sided reaction calling Ana everything from a predator to a gold digger. Twitter also warned LaMelo to play it safe when dealing with these IG models since his teammate PJ Washington found himself in a similar situation with Brittney Brenner who was nearly a decade older than him.
Ana seemingly caught wind of all the hate and decided to respond by saying. she has her own money and doesn’t need a man to sponsor her or her family. She went on a mini Twitter rant to try to distance herself from Brittany Renner and explaining why her interest in the youngest Ball isn’t nefarious.
Social media wasn’t very accommodating of her explanation and COOKED her in the comments.
I mean cooked like Hunter Renfrow was doing Jalen Ramsey.
Melo should listen to papa LaVar. The Eastern Conference isn’t getting any easier to compete in, and the last thing he needs is off-the-court drama.
Here is what LaVar said about getting involved with these older IG models and the advice he gave Young Melo.
“If you’re in this profession, you got all this fame and notoriety — how are you going to meet a good girl? You’re not.”
“So, I hate to tell you, but you’re going to meet a hoe. Just how it goes, son.”
“So, son, that’s the bad part of the life you’re going to get — you’re never going to meet a good woman.”
“You gotta wonder why she’s by herself at 30.”
“So there’s something dangerous no matter how good they look — but have a good time, son. I feel bad for you — but hey, I love the fact you made it!”
Ana is 32 years old.
Sadly, his brother Lonzo has had to deal with baby mama drama when he knocked up his high school sweetheart, but at least they were around the same age.
The real key here is not to get married, have any babies or get serious with anyone that wears a toxic and/or chase the bag shirt. As long as Melo does that, he can continue to do that, and he will be fine. Just be very aware of the potential traps that might happen. Also, never leave your drink unintended.
