You may have heard about the drama going down with Tyreek Hill‘s divorce. His estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, is not holding back. She’s accusing him of emotional abuse and financial manipulation.
This messy breakup is all over the news, with Keeta making some bold claims against the NFL star. It seems like things are getting pretty heated between the two, and it’s definitely not looking pretty.
Vaccaro’s legal team filed a fiery response this week to Hill’s recent request for a gag order in their ongoing divorce proceedings. Hill, who is entering his fourth season with the Dolphins, had originally asked a Miami judge to prohibit Vaccaro from making “denigrating, disparaging and uncivil statements” about him during the case — claiming such remarks could damage his public image and career.
But Vaccaro’s lawyers say Hill’s motion is nothing more than an attempt to stifle her voice and control the narrative.
“In terms of purpose, the Husband’s motion is a clear attempt to silence and intimidate wife’s counsel and control the representation that she receives in this litigation,” the filing read. Her legal team further argued that Hill has shown a “pattern of coercive control,” and that his push for a gag order is hypocritical, given the negative statements his own lawyers have made about Vaccaro in recent filings.
Hill’s legal team had previously alleged that Vaccaro “has a history of stealing,” and accused her of fraudulently accessing his financial accounts and transferring money to herself, her personal business, and her 62-year-old mother — claims that made headlines after court documents were published by the Daily Mail. But Vaccaro’s attorneys say those accusations are unfounded and are being weaponized to shift public opinion.
“Instead of asking this court to enjoin the husband’s lawyers from making such statements, the wife is marshalling the evidence that she will present to prove they are false,” her attorneys wrote.
Vaccaro, who filed for divorce in April — one day after police responded to a domestic disturbance at the couple’s Miami high-rise — says Hill has failed to pay temporary spousal or child support since their separation. She also claims he’s denied her access to their marital home, withheld use of a shared vehicle, and resisted establishing a fair custody agreement for their 8-month-old daughter, Capri.
“In the context of [his behavior]… the motion is another example of the Husband’s pattern of coercive control,” Vaccaro’s attorneys wrote. “It must be denied, because there is no legal basis for it.”
The police report from the April domestic dispute paints a troubling picture. Vaccaro’s mother, Alesia, said she called 911 after witnessing a “very aggressive and impulsive” Hill throw a laptop on the floor and storm toward the balcony while holding Capri. Officers found the child unharmed but noted a visible bruise on Vaccaro’s chest. No arrests were made, and Hill was not charged.
We’ll have to wait and see how this all plays out, but one thing’s for sure – this divorce is turning nasty!
