Back in late June, Dodgers Trevor Bauer was accused of assault after he allegedly choked her until she was unconscious and gave her two black eyes during sex.
Bauer said it was all consensual and she said it wasn’t and provided pics of how bad it was.
It’s been a mess since then but now, according to the LA Times, it is getting even messier.
Bauer’s lawyers have released texts messages from Bauer’s accuser and her cousin where she says everything was consensual but she didn’t expect two black eyes and he took it too far.
In her request for the temporary restraining order, Bauer’s accuser provided a written statement that in May he choked her to the point that she lost consciousness and punched her in the face so hard she suffered facial fractures.
“I remember this vividly as it was very startling and painful,” the woman wrote in her sworn statement. When she regained consciousness, she said, she “had a terrible pain behind both of my ears” and “tasted blood in my mouth.”
A few days later, she said, she had two black eyes, a swollen jaw, swollen cheekbones, a split lip, and bruising near her vagina, on her gums and on her head. Pictures of her face included in the court filing show bruising under her eyes and a scab on her lip, as well as swelling on her jaw and cheekbone.
The issue seems to be if someone gives you consent to get rough, but you get too rough are your criminally responsible for that? At what point is the consent revoked?
It is clear that Bauer took it too far in the sense that I doubt most people consider two black eyes as rough sex.
The Dodgers have tried to disassociate themselves from him.
