Sixers media day has come and gone, and the team has started training camp, yet Ben Simmons is still nowhere to be found.
He has stated that he is done playing for the team and with Joel Embiid because building the team around him isn’t good for his game.
Simply put, Ben Simmons isn’t playing another day in Philly, and according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Ben is willing to sit out the whole year if he isn’t traded.
At some point, either side is going to have to budge. Whether it’s Ben eventually showing up to play for the Sixers or the team lowering their asking price for him. Either way, the situation needs to end soon, so it’s not a distraction to the team.
