Deshaun Watson has been dealing with a lot of off-the-field issues including sexual assault cases, but even with all of the issues happening off the gridiron, Watson still hasn’t changed his mind about not wanting out of Houston.
A source tells ESPN’s Ed Werder that Texans QB Deshaun Watson remains committed to forcing a trade out of Houston and does not care how long it takes.
“A source says Deshaun Watson remains committed to forcing his exit from Houston, no matter how long that might take. The source close to Watson said, “If you’re paying him $10 million to sit this year, you don’t think he would take $30 million and sit next year?’’
Watson seems to forget that he has 22 massage lawsuits against him and potentially criminal charges going forward.
The Miami Dolphins were rumored to be the frontrunner in trading for Watson and planned on using Tua Tagovailoa as a part of the deal. Well now that Tua will be missing some time due to a rib injury, it’s likely not going to happen anytime soon.
A.J. Perez of Front Office Sports, says the criminal inquiry regarding the sexual assault allegations will be completed before the NFL Trade deadline on Nov. 2.
The Texans have made it known that they want a massive haul for the 25-year-old QB, which includes multiple first-round draft picks.
