Al Snow has been wrestling for decades, as he was in WWE, TNA, ECW, and more. Now, Snow is going viral due to saving a boy, who was being pulled in heavily by a riptide, into the ocean, according to TMZ.
This recently went down in Santa Rosa Beach in Destin, FL. Snow, who’s 58, quickly got into the water to save the boy’s life. At the time, he thought that the lifeguard in the area wouldn’t be able to get into the water as quickly.
“I made it, thank God,” Snow said to TMZ. “And, I caught him just by the arm just as a wave started to pull him even further out. If I hadn’t have grabbed him, I think he’d have probably went out to sea. That would have been it.”
Snow did add that this was a challenge in getting both of them back to shore, though, as the water took them under for a bit. This caused him to reminisce on the death of fellow WWE star Shad Gaspard, who drowned in the Pacific Ocean last May.
This took Snow a lot of energy to complete, but he was able to help someone in need in the end. He and the boy weren’t injured, and his mother was very grateful that he assisted in this scary moment.
“I was able to stay up,” Snow added, “and hand him off to the lifeguard and I made my way back across to my friend and we went up on the beach and I felt like I was about to collapse. I was exhausted.”
