Is the Adam Schefter ESPN era about to end?
He’s been dealing with a little controversy after emails between him and former Washington Football Team president Bruce Allen where he sent Allen a full draft of something he wrote. He called Allen “Mr. Editor” and told him he could make changes to make things worse.
Schefter put out a statement saying the questions that have been asked about his reporting have been fair, but he took it too far on this story when trying to verify facts.
This seems to have happened at the right time because his contract with ESPN is up in 2022, and according to Michael McCarthy and A.J. Perez of Front Office Sports, Caesars Sportsbook will go after him.
He’ll definitely have options, and it seems like he’ll have a lot of power in negotiations if ESPN does want to keep him.
