Current free agent and former Eagles LB Nigel Bradham was arrested in Florida after a traffic stop where police found more than 3.45 pounds of marijuana in his car and had a Glock 23 in his glovebox that was found to have been stolen, per TMZ Sports.
Police charged Bradham with possessing marijuana with the intent to sell, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of marijuana over 20 grams. He was later released on $1000 bail, according to a report from Christopher Cann of the Tallahassee Democrat.
The 32-year-old is currently an unsigned free agent, playing most recently for the Denver Broncos in 2020. However, he only appeared in one game while also spending some time on the practice squad.
Bradham is best known for his time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills, spending four years apiece with each franchise. He was the leading tackler for the unlikely 2017 Eagles squad that won the Super Bowl and played every snap in the 41-33 win over the New England Patriots.
Court records say Bradham told the judge he intends to hire an attorney, but records do not yet list an attorney representing him in this case.
Bradham was a star linebacker at FSU, was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2012 and most notably went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, earning a Super Bowl ring there in 2018.
Bradham is currently a free agent.
The Wakulla High School graduate holds an annual camp for kids in his hometown and when COVID canceled those plans in 2020, Bradham hosted a backpack drive instead.
There are a couple of questions people are going to have.
Did he plan to smoke all that weed, and what is up with the stolen gun? On would hope he is just a heavy smoker and bought the gun not knowing it was stolen.
This sadly wasn’t Bradham’s first gun charge.
