Step aside Florida because Michigan has entered the race for the nominations of the crazy state of the year award.
“A jury has convicted Jason T. Harris of Davison of murder in the 2014 overdose death of his wife, Christina Ann-Thompson Harris. The jury in the trial for Jason Harris, who was accused of poisoning his wife’s cereal with a lethal dose of heroin, came back with their verdict Wednesday, Nov. 17 in the courtroom of Genesee Circuit Court Judge David J. Newblatt,” per MLive.com.
Seven years after his wife death, Harris will regret in his cell what he did to his wife’s cereal.
Harris is a crazy individual and it makes no sense on why he did what he did.
Dec 10. is the day where Harris is set to be scheduled.
Frozen breast milk is how they were able to determine something fishy was going on.
Frozen breast milk was the main factor leading to this change, Hunter said Friday.
Christina Harris was eight-month postpartum at the time of her death. Frozen breast milk samples were collected, one dated Sept. 12, 2014, and two additional samples from August and July, the medical examiner said.
Samples from each month were tested and no drugs were detected in the breast milk.
This indicated that Christina Harris was not a drug user prior to her overdose death, Hunter said.
She was found dead in the couple’s Davison home on Sept. 29, 2014.
Harris will likely get life in prison without the possibility of parole. He had maintained his innocence, but it is clear he is guilty and deserves whatever punishment he receives.
One of the neighbors told police Jason Harris said his wife was hungry the night of the incident and he fixed her a bowl of cereal which she dropped while eating and passed out on the living room floor.
A woman moved into the couple’s home two months after Christina Harris’ death. Police also discovered Jason Harris had purchased an airline ticket to Rhode Island nine days after her death to visit a woman with whom he’d exchanged more than 5,800 texts.
He also received a $100,000 life insurance check from his wife’s employer and $20,000 life insurance check from his employer after her death. Jason Harris was fired from his job at a plastics factory for testing positive for drugs, including methamphetamines.
