Rappers Soulja Boy or “Big Draco” is fine with not getting a chance to continue the 2021 Millennium Tour.
According to a video, Soulja Boy informed his fans he wasn’t losing any money from what happened.
“I’m still getting paid … what him dying got to do with me? … I’m tryna see my fans”
Soulja Boy was scheduled to attend St. Louis, Missouri, and Memphis for the shows.
Here is the statement they released.
In response to the tragic shooting death of rap artist Young Dolph, The Millennium Tour 2021 Tour promoter, G-Squared Events, has determined that rapper Soulja Boy will not perform during this weekend’s tour stops in St. Louis, Missouri, and Memphis, Tennessee.
To preserve the safety of The Millennium Tour 2021 artists and patrons, tour representatives are exercising caution and want to make a smart decision to be safe. “The safety and welfare of our patrons are the first and foremost priority.” said a representative from G-Squared Events. “We pride ourselves on bringing high-quality concert experiences to our patrons. In times like this, we will stop at nothing to ensure that everyone that participates in these experiences is healthy, safe, and quite frankly having a good time.”
At the end of the day, Black people aren’t safe anywhere, especially from themselves when drama is involved.
Soulja Boy and Dolph were beefing, but highly unlikely Soulja had anything to do with the murders. It is sad people can’t even enjoy a concert without worrying about being shot or some type of violence. I know Soulja is trying to stay in character, but he should probably chill with the videos for his own safety, especially after he posted one before Dolph’s death offering $100k for Dolph’s address. It is best for his own health if he lays low for a while.
