The Knicks Point Guard Kemba Walker has sold off his Massachusetts mansion — a 9,500-square-foot home he purchased for $11.25 million in 2019.
The price he sold it for remains undisclosed but it is reported that Walker received more than he paid for it at the time. Via The New York Post:
The move comes after Walker, who grew up in the Bronx, joined the New York Knicks in August. But his recent benching on the team, and removal from the Knicks rotation in favor of Alec Burks, put his future with the NBA in question.
While the current price remains undisclosed, it’s been reported that Walker received more than he paid for it at the time, when he had signed a contract with the Celtics worth $141 million over a four-year period.
Made up of six bedrooms and eight baths, the home features a limestone exterior with a 22-foot custom iron entrance.
The residence also features a double bridal iron staircase, two kitchens, an au pair suite, a paneled library, “palatial” primary quarters and four en-suite bedrooms with 14-foot tray ceilings, according to the previous listing.
The property was also touted for its “secluded living” with “estate expansion potential.” Walker’s career with the Celtics team took a turn when he was forced to sit out last December due to nagging pain in his left knee that stem cell injection therapy couldn’t fix.
