If you are being totally unbiased, Antonio Brown’s statement makes more sense than what the Bucs are saying.
Brown released a lengthy statement via his attorney explaining what led him to leave the field against the Jets.

- HC Bruce Arians pressured AB to play injured.
- AB was shot up by medical staff with a dangerous drug to numb the pain.
- When pain wore off, and he told Arians he couldn’t play, Arians gave him throat slash motion and cut him on the spot.
- AB says Arians lied about knowing the extent of the ankle injury and has texts to prove it.
- AB explains there is a big difference between jogging off the field and playing in an NFL game.
- He says Bucs told him to act like mental health issue and not an ankle issue.
- He says he had an MRI on Monday to prove he has broken bones and torn ligaments in his ankle.
- AB says the Bucs are trying to cover everything up.
Listen, everything he says can easily be proven or disproven, so I don’t think AB is lying. Even his lawyer has come out and said that the Bucs are trying to cover things up.
Antonio Brown never faked an injury in his life. It is incredible that people are pushing false rumors that what happened Sunday was the result of mental health issues and not a well known ankle injury. Mental health is important, but so is basic dignity.
After, the Bucs pushed our camp to claim that they did nothing wrong and suggested that we should say this event was purely the product of mental illness. Now they’re subjecting him to behind the scenes arbitrary gamesmanship. They cut him, now they cage him.
In the end, you have to decide what you believe, but AB acknowledges his shady past, but that is no excuse for what is happening if this is true.
