Why would anyone decide to shoot and take the life of a kid? Reports say the late George Floyd’s 4-year-old niece Arianna was struck by gunfire while lying in her bed on New Year’s Day. Fortunately, she did not die and now recovering from the incident. Vladtv:
A spokesperson for the Houston Police stated that a suspect or suspects fired shots into an apartment building while four adults and two children were inside.
Arianna was the only person struck in the incident, and she underwent surgery after being admitted to a local hospital with her injuries. Arianna’s father revealed that she suffered a punctured lung and liver and three broken ribs in the incident.
The girl’s family also told ABC13 that they know who opened fire, which they believe was just a coincidence. So far, no arrests have been made.
According to the father of Arianna Delane, Derrick Delane, says Houston Police Department officers didn’t arrive until 4 hours after the incident.
“My daughter jumped up and said, ‘Daddy, I’ve been hit’ and I was shocked until I seen the blood and I realized my 4-year-old daughter was really hit. She didn’t know what was going on. She was asleep.”
“Why would my house get shot up?” the father said. “My daughter don’t know. I can’t explain that to her. As the father, you’re supposed to protect the kids.”
